In continuation to our environment sustainability programs, we have Rainwater harvesting for production uses, since many years..
Nature evaporates huge water from ocean and supply us nearly distilled water all free of cost, then there must be some objective to this cycle, mostly all would say to supply water to our Lakes and enrich our underground water table, unfortunately the scale of population jumps and formation of Concrete jungle (it has its advantage) the water table decreases, now the best way, is to consume least underground water during rains.
Trap all your roof water and channelize into your systems in scientific manner.
It took in first study approx. 3500 sq foot of it roof water and brought it into tank with a meter attached.
Yes due to use of Wood / Pet coke by lot of surrounding industries there was lot of black particles, initial water was drained out, then with filters it was used. Micro – control as required was added in step. Water had TDS less than 60 ppm, with no organic load as expected.
Normal per hour rain we could get 4500 – 6000 liters / hr in a 4-inch line from 3500 sq foot.
The meter is 2 inch, to increase it to 4 inch to allow more water flow and take another approx. 5000 sq foot of roof – top water to use. Expecting 250 to 700 KL of water this year – 2023.
Between 29th June, 2023 and 1st July, 2023 in just 3 days we got around 26 KL of water.
Conclusion
Based on this data, we urge our Nandesari Industries to run a full-scale Campaign to use this data and move ahead with various plans and request Government of Gujarat and India to request Industries of all types to follow this. Don’t make excuse of MSME, as We are the strength of Indian Economy, and we can also Contribute.
